    ClearCut DieWorks is a manufacturer of cutting tools and printing plates for the packaging industry, specializing in corrugated box and folding carton tooling. We are excited to announce that we have an opening that will offer the right individual opportunities in manufacturing in our finishing-shipping department. The positions available are entry to mid-level with opportunity for growth. We are a family business that has been in operation for over 30 years in Richmond, VA.     We are looking for someone with consistent work habits that is looking to join a great team, learn to be part of a great trade, and enjoy personal and professional growth along the way.  The position is full time with competitive wages.  An impressive benefits package is available including health, dental, vision, 401k incentives, vacation time, and paid holidays.  The position will consist of learning how to apply the proper ejection materials to our tooling, creating samples for quality checking  from the tools, operating equipment needed for creating samples, running a CNC waterjet, creating packages to ship tools, delivery in commuter vans to local market, ship packages using small package carriers and LTL freight carriers.

    Job requirements:

    Being punctual consistently, have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions, basic math skills, ability to read a tape measure in inches and millimeters, ability to use a utility knife, learn to comprehend drawings and blue prints, be organized, safe, strive to be efficient and quality driven, have good communication skills both verbal and written, be flexible with work hours and job duties, willingness to learn new things and advance one’s self, have a valid driver’s license for 2+ years with a clean record. Have the ability to stand for the duration of the work day.

    Preferred additional skills:

    Ability to lift 50lbs, ability to use power tools to include; routers, sanders & impact wrenches. Work well with tools/hands. Have the ability to learn to use various machines such as a CNC waterjet and die cutters. Ideal candidates have worked in other trades, or other types of manufacturing or shipping departments.

    • Starting pay: $15-18/hr. + based on experience/ knowledge
    • Work hours: Full time Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm with a lunch break, overtime may be required during the work week with a possible partial weekend day.
    • Work environment:  manufacturing setting, PPE is required in production areas (closed toe shoes, ear plugs and safety glasses), continuous standing.
    • Regular and consistent attendance is necessary to perform all aspects of this position

    Travel:

    Some may be required for delivery purposes only, no overnight
